Reduced service eclipse weekend (Aug 19-20)

8/14/2017

In anticipation of expected traffic congestion the weekend before the Aug. 21 eclipse, the Columbia Gorge Express will operate on a reduced schedule Saturday Aug. 19 and Sunday Aug. 20:

  • The last eastbound bus each day will depart Gateway Transit Center at 1:45 p.m.
  • The last westbound bus each day will depart Multnomah Falls at 3:35 p.m.

However, we advise riders not to wait until the last bus, in case it is full.

Significant delays and additional trip cancellations are also possible, depending on traffic conditions. Customers can inquire about the status of Columbia Gorge Express service by calling 877-247-0053.

The eclipse makes it more important than ever to prepare for your trip to the Columbia River Gorge. Carry extra food and water in case you’re in the Gorge longer than you expected.
